Heinz Marotzke, a German
and former football player and renowned coach of FC Schalke 04
in the German National League thereafter he changed to Africa and
coached successfully the national team of Ghana, the Black Stars
and the Nigerian Super Eagles in the Olympic Games 1968, 1972 and
1976.
He is a longtime resident
of Nigeria and was involved both in the construction of the
former National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos for the All African
Games 1973 and the new National Stadium in Abuja fot All African
Games 2003.
He is involved in Coaching Courses and Training Camps.
He was one of the founders of the Nigerian National Sports
Institute.
As instructor/technical advisor of FIFA Heinz Marotzke was
the project manager for the FIFA-Coca Cola world football development
program and responsable for various technical reports of world
football championships on all levels.
